IBEW Local 733 Members Ratify New Five-Year Agreement

Members of IBEW Local 733 have voted to ratify the proposed five-year collective bargaining agreement.

The final vote tally was 494 in favor and 112 opposed, reflecting strong participation from the membership.

Following months of negotiations, informational meetings, and detailed discussions, the agreement was presented to the membership for a democratic vote. A majority of eligible members participated in the ratification process.

Business Manager Vitosky (Vito) stated:
“This agreement reflects a great deal of hard work and serious conversations over many months. Our members build some of the most advanced ships in the world, and they deserve wages and benefits that reflect their skill and dedication.

We appreciate everyone who reviewed the information, attended meetings, made suggestions, and participated in the democratic process.”
The newly ratified agreement establishes a five-year framework providing structured wage increases, defined economic improvements, and long-term stability for electricians working at Ingalls Shipbuilding.

With decades of shipbuilding backlog and continued demand for skilled electrical workers, IBEW Local 733 is now actively seeking qualified Journeyman and Journeyman Candidate electricians.
